The Ontario Residential Tenancies Act amended since May 2017, coupled with the Ontario Standard Lease Agreement mandatory since Apr 30, 2018 not only elevated tenants’ rights, but also sent landlords into a panic. Gone are the days landlords have the upper hand as property owners.
